Introduction

FORGE ("we," "our," or "the App") is an AI-powered fitness and nutrition planning application. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Profile Information: Name, age, gender, height, and weight. Used to calculate your caloric needs, macro targets, and tailor your training program.
  • Body Photos: Front, back, and/or side photos you upload for AI body composition analysis. These are used solely to generate your personalized fitness plan and are not stored after your plan is generated.
  • Fitness Preferences: Your selected fitness goal, training schedule, and available equipment.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Financial or payment information
  • Health data from Apple HealthKit or any wearable device

How We Use Your Information

  • Plan Generation: Your profile data and photos are sent to our secure server, which forwards them to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate your personalized workout and nutrition plan.
  • App Functionality: To display your plan, track your workout progress, and calculate your nutritional targets.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

AI Processing and Photo Handling

FORGE uses Anthropic's Claude API to analyze your body photos and generate fitness plans. Here is how your photos are handled:

  1. Compression: Photos are compressed on your device before being transmitted.
  2. Transmission: Compressed photos are sent over an encrypted connection (TLS) to our server.
  3. Processing: Anthropic's AI analyzes the photos to assess body type and estimate body composition.
  4. No Storage: Photos are processed in real time. They are NOT stored on our servers or by Anthropic after your plan is generated.
  5. No Training: Your photos and data are not used to train any AI models.

Data Storage and Security

  • Encryption at Rest: All stored user data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted is encrypted using TLS.
  • Database Security: User data is stored with row-level security ensuring users can only access their own data.

Data Retention

  • Photos: Not retained. Processed in real time and discarded immediately.
  • Profile Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Workout and Meal Plans: Retained as long as your account is active.

Your Rights

  • Access Your Data: View all personal information we hold about you within the app's settings.
  • Delete Your Data: Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Withdraw Consent: You can stop using AI photo analysis at any time by skipping the photo upload step.

Children's Privacy

FORGE is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
